):
I'm a lousy girlfriend, so thankful for him.
But last saturday was fun <3 headed to jessie's in the late afternoon w Bien and yx to work on our presents for nicolea WHO'S FLYING OFF ON 12TH FEB. One of my best friends gone like that. Met her at NEX afterwards for dinner where we gave her a pretty calendar and photoboard, and a birthday fruit tart which turned out to be for me because they weren't around on my birthday last year!?! Hehe haven't been surprised like that in awhile. Then we spent the night camwhoring at the rooftop, cue lots of ridiculous hair swishing, creepy/ hilarious shots and timer problems
Still can't get used to the fact that this chipmunk won't be around
)))))))):
On a separate note, also met up w angie nat and chao this wednesday for dinner at cedele!! I luv pokerrrrr nights, nat's freaking good and idk whether it's thanks to her luck or skills (if any. her motto's just "GO FOR IT"). I didn't do too bad tho, but both chao and b went bankrupt hahahahahaha
Time to work on my social innovation questions then mno lect. Tembusu card please come back to me!!!! Or else i'll need to report to the office/ lost and found whatevz and i really don't wanna do that
Maybe this is a sign from God to focus on my studies ha ha ha ha
Shall hole myself up in my room w my maple pecan granola and 100 plus. Ponya supper later! Then BSP1004X grp meeting (yay i have Claire w me!!) photo-printing w Jon and scrapbook workshop tmrw, mahjong + dinner w Angie Nat Chao (imy Char) Wednesday, doctor's appointment on Thursday and B's mom's birthday celebration on Friday!
Getting too far ahead of myself, it's just Monday afterall.
Not the best start of the week, Dad's flying off soon. Like Jacob said, who else can i blame but myself? So glad i have him in MNO lect w me, went to swap tuts today and him Mingjiang and i are all in the same tut so hopefully we can ace this project!! Z11 ftw
I think i'm just trying to make my life so busy i don't have to spend time thinking about what and who i care for. Just study/ write essays/ send emails/ plan events/ attend seminars.
So cute :) spent time today sieving through photos for the scrapbook making session tomorrow, was looking back through our jc days, post-As holidays, army and now. Our lives have changed, but love is always a constant. I miss you silly, book out soon!
Found this btw:
hehe SIMS!!!
I guess this marks the end of CNY :'( short respite from the horrendous torrent of school/ proj-related work. So much visiting - grandma, godpa, b's relatives, relatives coming over to our place, aunt's new place today w a foosball table + mini pool table (!!!!) it was so much fun. B is amazing at poker, i shan't doubt his skills anymore lulz the only time i said 'fold' we ended up missing a straight hahahaha so anyway thx to him we won quite a bit of $$$$$
I really don't think i can improve my CAP much this sem... Love through lenses workshop this saturday and launch/ exhibition in a few weeks, chua thian poh seminars, ambassador events (holocaust memorial ushering soon!! want to slap myself for telling Kelvin we had too few events haha), 6 mods
Positivity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \^^/
I think i need to just shut out everything and just get down to work.
Happy memories from Vancouver'11/12:
Celebrating my birthday again on the night i touched down hehe surprise!
Maine waking up at 8am to make pancakes, which were somewhat a failure because she used the wrong type of flour but still....!! And leaving the house early in the morning to buy breakfast at White spot - hash, bacon, sausages, sunnysideups w pancakes and french toast. Plus the extra plate of avocado cos mom cut it hahaha. My lovely sister <3
Kintaro's along Denman! Doesn't really look appetizing here because of the lean slices of meat, should totally have opted for fatty meat but the miso ramen is one of the best ever!!!! Full-bodied and absolutely flavourful stock with amazingly springy noodles, they won Best Noodles in some official Vancouver ramen competition ahaha.
And this is us on another day out to Motomachi Shokudo! Conceptualized similarly to Kintaro's since they belong to the same owner - small quaint interior (except that this one is a lot quieter and slower paced, in Kintaro they kinda shove you the bill like please leave there're loads of customers at the door) and amazinggggggg ramen. I thought my New Generation miso ramen was pretty good, but Maine's Nama Shoyu ramen hit it out of the park. The stock's made from unpasteurized soy bean paste with burnt onion oil it's sosososososo good i just wanna go back now and have more ;( Cherie's ramen doesn't deserve a mention since it's so bland i never understood why she ordered shio all the time!
Stanley park!!!! Amazing weather the day we went ^^ actually the whole time i was in BC, the weather was great for the most part - sunny (as sunny as Vancouver can get, anyway) and occasional drizzle. Thank God! :)
Christmas dinner at the Thomases - Rock band, really great food and the best homemade Tiramisu i've ever had!!!! Finally went back past midnight and everyone just crashed. Mom ask Aunt Anna for the recipe plz plz plz :)
AMAZING FROYO~~~~~~ frolick is really bad compared to this, it melts so fast. Pinkberry is fricking SOLID!!! Hahahaha i love the original flavor, tart and not too sweet at the same time. Brought lene to try it first while the rest got Papa beard's (2 cream puffs each, pigs) and then brought everyone back to share the largest size available! Basically you pay for the size you want, then pay a fixed price for toppings, then ask for as many toppings as you want w/o it overfilling the cup
It's 2.33am here and i'm moving into Tembusu tomorrow, finally! Haven't had time to pack since flying back last Friday, but tomorrow's a free day so helloooo to my old room once more! Moving in at 9am, then lunch w jon and helping him w his Chua thian poh programme essay.. that cheater got Prof kelvin to get him an interview even tho i thought i got the last interview slot today. But i'm so glad i got in, can't wait for the summer organization internship ^^
Anyway the first day of school turned out pretty okay, Limmy's in one of my geog lects and Jacob's w me in MNO. Plus Chinsoon in BSP1004, and ohwell for the other two geog lects :) perhaps i shall turn to some random person in the lecture theatre and ask her/ him to be my friend hahaha. Went for the nail appointment that b bought for me today hehe i have amazingly pretty nails now!!!! Thank you instructor seeya tmrw ;> okkkkkk time to sleep
Restless hearts/ sleep alone tonight/ sending all my love along the wire
A happy family is but an earlier heaven :) i'll never forget that
I'm a mess - cried the whole way back on the plane, my eyebags have never been bigger, i gained weight, haven't packed up to move to tembusu (don't even WANT to, am so comfortable at home), it's difficult trying to catch up with everything my NUS-LEAD proj mates are doing, have a guest-of-honour speech to write and loads of upcoming proj events, bidding for tutorials + my sixth module, chua thian poh interview
To-dos this sem:
- Complete Love through lenses, make it a success
- Muay thai
- Improve CAP to 4.3 and above
- Attend more Tembusu ambassador events
- Download and read readings before/ after lecture, in the SAME week do not procrastinate
To do tomorrow:
- GE2206 lect, MNO1001X lect
- Check in at Tembusu, get card + check out room
- Work on GOH speech, send Lydia by tomorrow
On a happier note, today was binhao's birthday! <3 happy 20th (so old!!!), ily
Earworm for the past week, so much better than the glee version
Slept at 4am after staying up the entire night worrying about the combination of mods to bid for - geog/ mgmt/ should i even consider trying soci? But anyway it's final - i'm going to be a geography major ^^
3 geography mods this sem, MNO1001X w Jessie, Social innovation and perhaps BSP1004X too. Just the thought of next sem seems ominous, what with the advent of level 2000 mods, our NUS-LEAD event and module overloading. Plus B's camp is super near my place, have a feeling that i'll be spending more time at home than Tembusu hahahaha. Wonder if i'll be able to cope :) have to do it, must do it!!!
These few days have been happier, i've been keeping a travelogue in my iphone dictating what i do every day. Today was Motomachi Shokudo for ramen lunch, trying to take pretty photos in Stanley Park without Maine rie and i freezing our hands and noses off then Pacific Centre for shopping!!!!!! 50% off Hollister and loads of other Boxing Week sales at H&M, and The Body Shop!!!!
Feel like uploading the tons of photos in my cam but WHY IS MY VAIO NOT COMPATIBLE W MY SD CARD!?
Time to treasure my precious few days here before heading back to sg - hello gramps and dad, summer internship applications and the start of school :)
And this silly person!!
